Scarlet Finis
At the forest’s edge dawn softly embraces the remaining leaves of this tree; for it autumn’s brilliance will soon cease. The vibrant colors we all know and love will dull and decay. But all is for naught; it’s merely a step toward rejuvenation.
Recall visiting this location daily for a week, often assisted by a headlamp, before contemplating how best to capture this scene. With harsher weather on the horizon, surely enough to deprive these trees of their effervescent luster, one knew that time was finite. Decided to make use of the soft natural glow at dawn, and luckily clear skies were predicted that morn. With a bit of finessing you get something quite remarkable, at least in this observer’s eyes.
